How to Add Scheme Weeks

Follow the steps below to add scheme weeks:

  • Step 1: Navigate to Academics on the main menu
  • Step 2: Click Curriculum (a sub-menu of Academics)
  • Step 3: Click Scheme Weeks (a sub-menu of Curriculum)
  • Step 4: Click the ADD WEEK button in the top right corner of the page
  • Step 5: Fill in all the *required fields
  • Step 6: Click on Save
Click the EDIT button to make any corrections.

How to Create a Scheme Calendar

Follow the steps below to create a scheme calendar:

  • Step 1: Click Curriculum (a sub-menu of Academics)
  • Step 2: Click Weeks Calendar (a sub-menu of Curriculum)
  • Step 3: Click the ADD CALENDAR button in the top right corner of the page
  • Step 4: Click Save
Click the EDIT button to make any corrections or time adjustments.

Click icon A to filter the information to the session and term of interest.

Click icon B to print the page.

Note

Depending on the day the term begins and ends (as set on the main school calendar at the inception of the term) the system will generate a weekly scheme calendar that mirrors the school calendar, giving a list of weeks with the day each starts and ends. These can be adjusted to suit the school’s time structure for the scheme.

How to Create a Scheme

Follow the steps below to create a scheme:

  • Step 1: Navigate to Academics on the main menu
  • Step 2: Click Curriculum (a sub-menu of Academics)
  • Step 3: Click Scheme (a sub-menu of Curriculum)
  • Step 4: Click the Class Scheme button attached to the class of interest
  • Step 5: Click the View Scheme button attached to the subject of interest
  • Step 6: Select Session and Term, then click Proceed
  • Step 7: Click the ADD SCHEME button in the top right corner of the page, or you could add an existing scheme from a previous term by clicking the COPY EXISTING SCHEME button.
  • Step 8: Fill in all the *required fields
  • Step 9: Click Save
A class teacher or a subject teacher only have access to the class and subjects assigned. The current academic session and term are selected by default.

Tip

To fill in the required fields,

  • Select a Week
  • Enter or fill in the topic you would be teaching for the week selected.
  • Provide a related topic if there is one.
  • Enter the content (summary) of what you would be teaching for that week.
  • Provide the behavioral objectives in the Performance Objective field.
  • Provide related or relevant activities in the field tagged Activities Proposed.

The Content is and should not be the lesson note but should be details about the scheme. E.g.

  • Learning Objectives
  • Expected learning outcome
  • Learning resources
  • Points to note, etc.

To edit the scheme, click the EDIT button to make any corrections.

To delete the scheme, check or select the small square box on the left side that is attached to the scheme week created, then click on the red icon in the top right corner.

To print the scheme, click on the print icon in the top right corner.

How to Upload a Lesson Note/Plan

Follow the steps below to upload a lesson note/plan:

  • Step 1: Navigate to Academics on the main menu
  • Step 2: Click Curriculum (a sub-menu of Academics)
  • Step 3: Click Scheme (a sub-menu of Curriculum)
  • Step 4: Click the Class Scheme button attached to the class of interest
  • Step 5: Click the View Scheme button attached to the subject of interest
  • Step 6: Select Session and Term, then click Proceed
  • Step 7: Click the ADD SCHEME button in the top right corner of the page, or you could add an existing scheme from a previous term by clicking the COPY EXISTING SCHEME button.
  • Step 8: Fill in all the *required fields
  • Step 9: Click Save
  • Step 10: Click the LESSON PLAN button attached to the scheme
  • Step 11: Click the ADD LESSON button in the top right corner of the page
  • Step 12: Fill in all the *required fields
  • Step 13: Click Save
A class teacher or a subject teacher only have access to the class and subjects assigned. The current academic session and term are selected by default.

Tip

To fill in the required fields for the lesson plan/note,

  • Enter a brief description of the lesson.
  • Click Browse to select the lesson note file saved on your device. (A lesson plan/note in PDF format is recommended)
  • Select who should have access to the lesson note you are about to upload. (Both staff and student should be selected except for the case where pupils/students are not expected to have access to the note being uploaded)

Note

  • The maximum file size allowed is 2MB. (Accepted file formats are .docx, .doc, .pdf, .ppt, pptx, i.e. Microsoft word, PDF and PowerPoint files).
  • Both staff and students can be selected to have access to the uploaded note.
  • The lesson plan will need to be approved before it can be used.
  • Click the EDIT button to make any corrections, or the DELETE button to remove completely the lessons.
  • Multiple lesson notes can be uploaded for a week

How to Review and Approve a Lesson Plan/Note

Follow the steps below to review and approve a lesson plan/note:

  • Step 1: Navigate to Academics on the main menu
  • Step 2: Click Curriculum (a sub-menu of Academics)
  • Step 3: Click Scheme (a submenu of Curriculum)
  • Step 4: Click the Class Scheme button attached to the class of interest
  • Step 5: Click the View Scheme button attached to the subject of interest
  • Step 6: Select Session and Term (The current academic session and term are selected by default), then click Proceed.
  • Step 7: Click the LESSON NOTE button to access the lesson note
  • Step 8: Click Download Note to view the content of the lesson note
  • Step 9: If the content of the lesson note is ok, then click the square box attached to the note to select the lesson note (To select all notes listed, click to select the square box at the top in the top left corner of the page)
  • Step 10: Click the approval icon in the top right corner of the page to approve both the lesson plan and note



  • Step 11: Select the approval options that apply to the lesson note being reviewed
  • Step 12: Click the PROCEED button to save
To review, download the uploaded lesson note/plan. As a head of school or head of a department with review and approval access, It is important to select the two approval options. The system will not allow the selection of only one.

Tip

To confirm the approval of the lesson plan and note, see the status.

To cancel approval, click Undo.
